Keep an eye out for these tiny, painted treasures around the garden. With the help of the artistic talents Marshfield, Wisconsin Rocks we've hidden these miniature masterpieces for all to find. If you discover a painted rock, you may keep it, but we highly encourage you to hide it for someone else to spread joy. You are welcome to re-hide rocks in the garden or anywhere else that is public property. Please do not put the rocks in the grass where they could be hit by the mower or in other gardener's beds. We encourage you to place the rocks in common spaces where everyone can enjoy them. For safety reasons, we also ask that you don't hide rocks in very high places where they could fall and hit some of our young gardeners on the head.
At our May workday, in addition to searching for rocks, some of our young gardeners also made their own rock art that has been hidden at HCG. We would love to see more tiny art pop up in the garden if you are looking for a creative outlet to spread joy!
