September joy in the garden

Our gardeners are growing some interesting varieties of cucurbits this season:

trombone squash - this one is new to some of us

Armenian cucumber -- many are more than a foot long!

bottle gourd -- also new to some of us

green and orange pumpkins

pattypan squash - such a fun shape!

The next two picture are not of cucurbits, but interesting nonetheless:
